Since 1994, the sports medicine surgeons at Andrews Sports Medicine have performed ulnar collateral ligament surgery (reconstructions, repairs, and revisions) on the elbows of baseball pitchers and others. In the early years, the vast majority of these baseball pitchers were collegiate and professional athletes; however, during the last few decades, the percent of patients in youth and high school baseball has continued to grow.
