DESCRIPTION:**The American Sports Medicine Institute (BOC AP#P400) is approved by the Board of Certification\, Inc\,. to provide continuing education for Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum 1 Category A hours/CEU’s. At the end of the academic year\, it is anticipated that participants will be able to:\n1. Demonstrate significant depth of knowledge of the medical aspects of sports medicine.\n2. Diagnose and treat sports medicine problems presenting on the field or in clinical settings.\n3. Apply appropriate basic science tenets to the diagnosis and treatment of sports medicine injuries.\n4. Relate the role of biomechanics in prevention\, treatment\, and rehabilitation of sports medicine injuries.\n5.
